TMCA Cruisers…
Regarding my recent posts on the TMCA Facebook page about ad hoc cruises, meaning a cruise that gets put on the calendar at pretty much the last minute before it happens, well here is one for y’all to consider…
Whereas I have not even been to my boat in two weeks, and further, that I have not cruised anywhere in considerably longer than that…
And whereas the weather is supposed to be fairly decent (and warm) this coming weekend…
And whereas Bayland Marina is a good close-by (11.5nm) location, with plenty of available boat slips…
And whereas O’Neal’s Sportsbar & Grill has pretty darn good food, and is also hosting a special charity event on Saturday afternoon (https://www.facebook.com/events/649758380131438/ ), with live music by Jake Bush that evening…
And whereas the predicted tide levels appear to be pretty favorable for getting into and out of the mariaa (with actual water levels elevated above predicted levels)…
Therefore then, be it resolved, that I am probably going to venture up that way for the weekend and shake a few barnacles off my prop!
I have not decided as yet whether to head that way Friday afternoon, to arrive before dark of course, or rather to depart quite early on Saturday morning, to arrive there before that start of the afternoon activities. (I probably will not make a decision until I arrive at the boat sometime on Friday morning.)
