Harvest Moon Regatta

The 35th Annual Lakewood Yacht Club Harvest Moon Regatta (HMR) race registration deadline is Sunday, Sept.4th at www.HarvestMoonRegatta.com or  www.regattanetwork.com. If you are in the regatta, please register here so we can track the TMCA boats.

TMCA has a perpetual trophy as part of the regatta. The HMR committee calculates the TMCA boats for us and the trophy is awarded during the ceremony in Port Aransas on Saturday, Oct 8th. If you are participating in the race, please be sure to list TMCA on your HMR registration. 

There is historically a side bet among the TMCA boats, where each contributes a bottle of Rum. It is customary that the winner shares the Rum with all at the party Saturday night, so it’s a win for everyone!  Please let Ben Miller know if you want to participate in the ‘Rum Bet’.

For those not sailing in the Regatta, consider going down for the 'Welcome Sailor Rum Party' and barbeque.  It’s always a grand celebration. Even if you are not in the race, this is a great opportunity to cruise appropriate sized powerboats to Port Aransas. You’ll need to purchase wrist bands for the party on the HMR website www.HarvestMoonRegatta.com.
