Texas Mariners Cruising Association
The Largest Boating Club on the Gulf Coast Established 1979
TMCA PO Box 946 Kemah, TX 77565
Registration Opens Sunday, August 9, 6:00 pm. Join us for the “Laid Back & Lazy” Labor Day Cruise to Moody Gardens. No shoes, no shirt, no problem!
No doubt it’s been a crazy year. Shake off those summertime blues and join us at the Moody docks or anchor out in beautiful Offatts Bayou. Even though we’re socially distancing, we can still have fun! Being outside enjoying nature is a major health booster. Vitamin D from the sun, the calming effects of water, the sounds of nature – can’t beat that!
Hang out at the pool or on the docks. Bring your water toys and paddle around on a kayak, paddleboard or a giant pink flamingo. Explore by dinghy, maybe venture over to the sand bar. Bring a bike or borrow one from Moody and explore Galveston. Read a book. Take a snooze. Reminisce about our many TMCA cruises & parties past.
Saturday night will be “movie night” and we’ll start off by showing a flashback reel of some of our more famous or possibly infamous (pre-social distancing) TMCA events before the world got a little off kilter. After that, we’ll show the main feature: The Mask! (Hey, why not! And if you have a mask even weirder than Jim Carey’s, show that thing off! )
Mask contest: Prizes for the prettiest, ugliest, most bizarre and most original “Masks” will be awarded! …(Don’t expect a new boat.) Fee: $145 for Saturday and Sunday nights (includes tip for ice and trash) (If you are extending your visit before or after, you will pay Moody directly.) Slip assignments: You will receive an email with your slip assignment on Wednesday, Sept. 2. Radio Channel Monitored for Docking: 68 (Will also provide phone contacts via email.)
Last Date to Cancel: Sunday, August 30. You will receive a refund if we're able to fill your slip from the waitlist.
