Mardi Gras Cruise Social Events

Welcome to a fun filled Mardi Gras Themed weekend that starts with Sterngating Friday at 4:00pm. Enjoy sharing drinks and snacks with your boat neighbors at your Stern. Feel free to get in the Mardi Gras spirit & decorate your boats.  Saturday a shared Breakfast 9:30am. Don't forget your chairs & drink of choice!

Options for Friday evening:

This night does not have provided transportaction so.... Uber to & from the strand would be needed, to help kick off Mardi Gras opening night.  (Moody has busses leased out by one of the Krewes). 

We have been invited by Gayle Dale (832-859-8476) to join the Parot Heads in Dinner and a walking parade Friday night. See details below and let Gayle know if you plan to attend.  

The parade line up starts at 630 actual parade at 830 so getting there around 730 or even 8 is good.   We enter at 22nd and mechanic.  The restaurant is Apache at 511 20th street.  People could Uber over there.  They close at two but will open for our private party that night if I have 20 people we can have a Mexican buffet with a drink for around 20 per person with tax and tip and the food is good.  If We met at 530 or six that would work. Admission is free to the parade BUT YOU HAVE TO HAVE A DECORATED UMBRELLA  with beads the theme is Margaritaville parrot heads.  Hawaiian shirts are good to wear also.  More info is available on the Galveston calendar.  All the info is there.  This is the most fun ever!!! The event is called the funky uptown umbrella brigade and there's also another parade at 10 o'clock the umbrella parade has bands and we danced to the hokey pokey in front of the Tremont hotel you can see pictures online check out their Facebook and let me know so I can arrange the restaurant.

7pm-George P Mitchell Mardi Gras Award Honoree Parade

8:30pm- Funky Uptown Walking Umbrella Parade

10pm- Mardi Gra! Galveston Parade

Don’t forget to sign up for Saturdays Mardi Gras on the Strand as a separate event. Also there will be a separate sign up for the Marina as well as a separate sign up for Saturday transportation to & from Strand.
