Time to don your top hats and vests and head on over to Co-Co’s on the Canal, 624 Marina Bay Drive at 6 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 2 for this year’s Ground Hog Day town meeting and spring anticipation celebration! Although it ain’t lookin’ good for an end to winter, we’re sure to get a good report from our own Texatawney Bill and Mayor Stan Arouty despite whatever that other groundhog predicts!
Bring your best bar food to share, buy your best beverage and be ready to drink up upon hearing all your favorite lines in the movie, “Ground Hog Day”! You’re hosts are Kami and Rick Heussner. Co-Co’s will also be partying it up that night and is featuring live music from Wasi Townsend at 8 o'clock.
Here’s some good things to know: You can kayak or dinghy over, as Co-Co’s has plenty of dock space, new cleats and a ladder. If you drive, don’t park in the old Art Forum parking lot. However, you can park in front of Y.E.S. a little farther away and walk across the little bridge to Co-Co’s, (where there aren’t many spaces).
Until then, stay warm…
