Gift Boxes for Seafarers

TMCA will once again be collecting Gift Boxes for Seafarers to be distributed at Christmas time.  This program supports mariners who are visiting the ports of Galveston and Texas City and are away from family and friends, often for a year or move, and many times unable to leave the ship to get basic necessities. We are asking TMCA member to donate one or more boxes filled with items.  Attached is a list of suggested items for the boxes. Plastic shoe boxes can be purchased at Walmart or Amazon.  Boxes are to be unwrapped, and can be donated at any TMCA event - dock parties, monthly meetings and at the Commodore's Ball.  You can also call Kami Heussner to arrange to have the boxes picked up or deliver them to her house 281-728-7428.

In lieu of putting a box together you can donate $20 cash or check, given to any TMCA officer or Marylou Clark, and a team of volunteers will purchase the items and assemble the boxes.  You can Zelle money to Treasurer@Texasmariners.com.  If you would like to mail a check it can be sent to Marylou Clark 2415 Clippers Square Houston, TX 77058
