Registration opens Tuesday, July 25, 6:00 pm. Join TMCA for one of the premier cruises of the year - a trip up the Houston Ship Channel to Allen's Landing at the end of Main Street in downtown Houston. Due to the low bridges, this cruise is for power boats only - and many of the power boaters always invite their sailboat friends to come join them.
This is a trip we can only make with permission from the Coast Guard. It truly is a privilege to travel through the Houston Ship Channel, and dock in downtown Houston. This is an amazing, unique cruise! You'll start at the Fred Hartman Bridge, travel up into the Houston Ship Channel thru the security zone, past the Battleship Texas, San Jacinto Monument, the turning basin, and up into Buffalo Bayou. From there, it will be part green/part industrial into downtown Houston and Allen's Landing at the end of Main Street. To see the city skyline from this angle is breathtaking!
You will need to submit your Coast Guard Registration Number and/or your Texas Registration Number. Your Texas numbers are not required to be displayed on your boat, but they are listed on the plastic card that comes with your Texas registration. If you're planning to go, get these numbers now!
